and not because of the free dinner :)
so i'm in sunnyvale now and it's COLD! at least, by my southeast asian standards. but god has been good and i'm getting loads of sleep and i feel my heath semi returning to me!
how are you guys?! i really miss you! not school so much... ;) if i didn't get a chance to tell you what i was doing for winter break, i'm in norcal living with a couple of my bestest friends from malaysia who now live up here. it's fun! although, since it's an all-guy apartment, there are a bajillion too many roaches for my liking, and too much unhealthy food. but i will do my best to channel celeste, patron saint of cleaning and healthy dining, during this holiday season!
just yesterday i whipped up a mean ayam masak merah. i didn't take pictures though, since i didn't know there'd be a blog, but expect some from now on. i also baked a double layer chocolate cake with homemade choc frosting and blackberries. mmmmm...
can't wait to hear from slash see you guys!

i don't know if i want pictures. cause those foods sound delicious. and it seems like they will look delicious. and it will be right in front of me. but i won't be able to touch, smell, grab, or eat it. that will be painful. glad you're getting sleep though! lord knows you need it haha

although i forgot to translate ayam masak merah! it's malay for red-cooked chicken (lit.) but it's more like a chicken pan fried in this chili-garlic-onion-tomato gravy with carrots and more chili and more onions! mmmmmm....
